How Our Classes Work

Scrappers Workshop is all about learning

Everyone learns in different ways. That's why we have a variety of classes

Interactive classes:

We're excited about providing a great way to learn - by SEEING what to do in our Interactive Classroom! The instructor and students are able to hear the instructor while you watch what the instructor is doing in REAL TIME in another window! Ask questions and see the answer right then.  You will need speakers hooked up to your computer or headphones in order to hear the instructor.  If you do not have sound, you will be able to see the instructor and view a chat window with a script of what the instructor is saying.  (You'll learn better by hearing so invest in an inexpensive pair of headphones)

Here's how it works:

Immediately after purchase you will receive an email showing your purchase. We will also get an email and we will register you for the class. Keep a copy of your email as it contains the date and time of the class and your invoice number.

We have partnered with GoToMeeting - the world leader in on-line meeting and demonstation software. The software requires you to install a small Java applet on your computer. It is safe and will not harm your computer or any other programs. You can install it immediately before class starts.

The day before the class and again the day of the class we will email you with a Meeting ID and link that you will need to attend the class.

Right before the class, click the link, and click Join a Meeting. Type your name (Screen name okay) and email address (If a window appears, click Yes or Grant - don't worry - it's safe). You will then be in our classroom!

You will see this screen: you can move and resize the chat window as needed.

 

Chat classes:

Chat and learn at the same time! One of our most poplular options, chat classes can be a single session or multiple sessions. After purchase you will be returned to our store with a download link to get the introduction letter and class requirements. (You can always return to this link and download again by logging into your account.) We will also receive an e-mail and register your for the class.

The day before the class and again the day of the class you will receive a link to our chat room and the password to enter our private chat room for this class. You can use any name you like; registration is recommended but not required. We will email you as a reminder the day before and the day of the subsequent classes.

Self-Study Classes:

Need to go at your own pace and study? Take a self-study class. These are well written, comprehensive courses on a variety of topics. After purchase you will be returned to our store with a download link to get your course. All courses are in PDF format (You can always return to this link and download again by logging into your account.)
